BORDER CROSSERS - OF BAVARIAN-BOHEMIAN ENCOUNTERS

One of Europe's oldest borders runs along the ridge of the geological bedrock of the Bohemian Massif. The Bavarians live to the left of it, and the Bohemians to the right.

Since 2017, the "Bavarian-Bohemian Cultural Platform" has been offering the opportunity for cross-border exchange and networking with festivals, exchange trips and network meetings. At the same time, Czech and German employees and volunteers are working hand in hand in the Bärnau-Tachov History Park to build an archaeological open-air museum. But the history of the Bavarian-Bohemian border region also has dark chapters.
